Perched right at the top of the slipway and facing directly out to sea, our gorgeous homestay enjoys a perfect position within this oceanside idyll and boasts floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the magnificent coastal views. Relax in the spacious, light-filled interiors, watching the activity of the harbour and the roll of crystalline waves below the dreamlike serenity of our private paradise. When you're ready to explore, an array of things to see and do await on your doorstep, from the lure of the South West Coast Path just moments away, to the many Roseland highlights within easy reach of Portloe.
Special 'Just for Two' rate
A special 'Just for Two' rate applies outside of school holidays, peak weeks, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year. At Harbour View the 'Just for Two' rate is 15% discount. When Harbour View is booked for two guests this is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.

Living
Overlooking Portloe's harbour, the open-plan living space showcases custom-made bi-fold doors which open to greet the sea and allow balmy breezes to drift in during the warmer months. Adorned in neutral hues, the walls are decorated with artwork depicting beloved local gems and ocean-inspired scenes, while the exposed wood floors and furnishings add organic detailing. Arranged around a glass-topped coffee table in front of the windows, two large sofas with plump cushions offer somewhere sumptuous to unwind and watch as the tide ebbs and flows beyond the pane. For added comfort, you can also settle in for a luxurious film night with the wall-mounted Smart TV, made for wholesome evenings of togetherness.
Harbour View is also equipped with a washing machine and tumble drier for guest use.
Eating
Adjoining the lounge, the open-plan kitchen and dining area proposes a wonderful space for savouring homemade meals. The fully equipped kitchen features a line of sleek cabinets topped with mottled granite worktops with ample room to prepare platters. With everything you need for flexing culinary creativity, it features inbuilt lighting and array of equipment and Neff appliances. Lending a sense of celebration to mealtimes at home, there is a lovely antique wooden table to one side of the room, hugged by six wood chairs. Seek moments of curated cuisine, popped corks and gathering together with a backdrop of rolling ocean tides.
Sleeping & Bathing
Indulge in lingering lie-ins and enjoy moments soundtracked by the melody of waves from the beautiful master bedroom in Harbour View. A tranquil haven, it promises mesmeric sea views that can be enjoyed from the embrace of the super king Vi-Sprung bed. Savour the softness of the super fine linens and watch fishing boats bobbing in the harbour, or relax on the chaise longue next to the window with your latest read.
The second bedroom is a picture of peacefulness, enswathed in neutral shades with pops of rich colour. Accommodating different sleeping arrangements, the bed can either be made up as a super king or as twin beds - perfect for couples or little ones alike. Dressed in luxurious linens and enveloped in comfortable cushions and throws, it offers moments of pure rest and relaxation from dusk until dawn in this heavenly hideaway by the sea.
For added convenience, there is a third room complete with a wardrobe and storage for stowing belongings. Meanwhile, a family shower room can also be found on the first floor and presents a spacious quadrant cubicle with monsoon shower head. Completing the picture on the ground floor is a cloakroom with a WC located off the entrance hall.
Outside space
Our beautiful homestay is located on the harbourfront in Portloe, with its front door and windows overlooking the sea, the village is truly your oyster. Step outside and make use of the fantastic proximity to the shore and surrounding cliffs, including the undulating flow of the South West Coast Path just footsteps away. For more dream days, Carne Beach and Pendower Beach both radiate beauty and are just a ten-minute drive away with ample parking.

Harbour View has a private garage with space for one car. Limited parking is also available in the village.

In the Area
Portloe is a darling village on the Roseland Peninsula, promising timeless beauty and endless charm. An otherworldly realm in which to cherish salt-kissed days by the sea, this novel-worthy idyll has everything you could need for romantic weekends and family holidays. Paddleboard and swim in the harbour on summer days, or seek a sandy spot on one of the Roseland's spectacular beaches nearby and while away dreamy hours. Ten miles to the north is Mevagissey town with its historical harbour, while ten minutes to the south are the polished streets of St Mawes. Spend time exploring the Roseland's many attractions and hidden gems, or head further afield to Truro or take a boat ride to Falmouth and uncover all there is on offer.
To refuel after summer swims and winter walks, the seventeenth century Ship Inn is just a few hundred yards away from Harbour View; meanwhile, The Lugger resides just across the road. Secure reservations at these local favourites and peruse the menus of seasonal favourites spun with local ingredients, including fresh fish landed in the harbour. Uncover the not-so-secret The Hidden Hut above Porthcurnick Beach near Portscatho and look forward to sweet treats and seasonal feast nights on the shore. Or, for fine-dining moments, make way to St Mawes and choose from the selection of acclaimed restaurants overlooking the water, such as the award-winning The Idle Rocks and Tresanton.
